March 2025 TBR: Trope-ical Readathon

Happy March, everyone! Like last August, I’m using the Trope-ical Readathon as a template for my March 2025 TBR. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve participated in this. But it’s just about the only type of reading challenge I participate in because it’s so chill. You can learn more about Trope-ical Readathon and sign up here. I like to use this readathon as a big push to read from my physical TBR and upcoming (or overdue) ARC list.

  1. That’s so cool you’re reading Nicole Wilson’s book. I read her first book and loved it, but I just haven’t had time to get to Shadow Dancers. And wow, you’re going to read an Eric LaRocca book?? I’m so curious to see what you think. This sounds like a fun challenge, good luck!

    1. Haha well, I got through about 20 pages of the Eric LaRocca book. I don’t think it’s for me and I’m going to dnf it. It is…gruesome. 😳 It’s probably a better fit for someone who reads a lot of horror. This is not light enough for me lol.

  2. I’ve been doing this Readathon for ages too and am back this year as well. I hope you enjoy The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy!

  3. That’s so fun! Readathons don’t work for how I read, but I always love the prompts behind them. Hope you enjoy Book Lovers, it’s the only Emily Henry I’ve read, but I liked it!

    1. I figure I have so many books on my TBR that they somehow have to fall into at least one of the prompts! I’ve even been able to switch in books I’m reading (but weren’t originally on this list) into these prompts to complete a challenge (which means bye bye Book Lovers, lol).

  4. I am quite curious about Eliza Chan’s writing. I remember really enjoying Crown of Midnight, but I’d have to restart the series whenever I get back to it, and I cannot wait to read my next Emily Henry book, though probably when the weather is warmer.
Good luck with all these and the readathon!

    1. I’m so bad at actually reading Emily Henry’s books. I only read HAPPY PLACE, but have two others on my shelf. I just keep putting other books first haha.

  5. I’ve never participated in the Trope-ical Readathon but I’ve thought about doing it. You have a nice mix of books picked out for this month. I hope you enjoy them all and I will be curious to see your thoughts on all of them.

    1. It’s super chill, so I’d encourage you to try it! I usually start out with a selection of books that fulfill the prompts, but you don’t have to. You can just read whatever and match your books up to the prompts when you complete them. And if they don’t match any of the prompts, the pages read still count as points!

  6. It looks like you’re doing fantastically with your challenge already but good luck with the rest of it. It looks like so much fun too 🥰 I’m not sure if any of your books are on my monthly TBR as such but A Fate Inked In Blood, the Atlas books, Empyrean & Water Moon are on my yearly one. Ideally I’d like to get to Eliza Chans book too as I have the ebook but I guess I’ll see how my reading year goes.

I hope you enjoy your books and look forward to finding out how you get on.

      1. Maybe I should try a few novellas. Maybe the numbers boast would make me feel like I was doing better 😂 and I do have a few I really want to try. I’m worried it’ll ruin my 400+ page average hopes though 🙈
