Before I jump into this week’s WWW Wednesday, I just want to say thank you to everyone who commented on my blog posts this past week. I’m behind on replying to comments as well as blog hopping because I took a quick vacation to the U.S. Virgin Islands. My computer is also being slow because I’m just about out of memory. But I will make my rounds eventually. So, thank you again!
WWW Wednesday was revived and hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. The idea is to answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at. No blog? No problem! Just leave a comment with your responses.
What are you currently reading?
What have you just finished reading?
What are you going to read next?
Currently Reading

LONG LIVE EVIL by Sarah Rees Brennan: I haven’t made any progress from last week simply because I didn’t take this Fairyloot hardback with me on my travels. Kindle all the way, baby.
RAISING HARE by Chloe Dalton: I had 50 minutes left of this audiobook when the library snatched it back! 🙁 So back to the holds line I go. “A fascinating meditation on freedom, trust, loss, and our relationship with the natural world, explored through the story of one woman’s unlikely friendship with a wild hare.“
Just Finished

THE LAND OF THE LIVING AND THE DEAD by Shauna Lawless: I’m happy to say I finally finished the Gael Song trilogy! I started this ARC back in October 2025 and wasn’t in the right mood to finish it. But I’m glad I picked it back up again while on vacation. It ended on a little bit of a cliff hanger, but thankfully I have an ARC of the first book of the subsequent trilogy. Review to come!
THE SOUNDREL AND THE SIREN by Christy Carlyle: I dove into my ARC pile again while on vacation and read this historical romance. The whole archeological premise drew me in as I don’t usually pick up this genre of book. Review to come, but this was a nice, easy read and exactly what I was looking for at the time. “Christy Carlyle takes readers on a heart-pounding hunt through Norfolk where a legendary treasure hunter and a fierce local woman battle over a Viking hoard, each determined to claim it for their own—and neither willing to lose their heart in the process…“

I’m torn on what to read next. Right now the forecast calls for about a foot of snow on Sunday, which is perfect for reading MIGRATIONS by Charlotte McConaghy. But I also just picked up SUNRISE ON THE REAPING from my library and that’s one I most likely won’t get to renew. I’m basically throwing my January physical TBR out the window, it seems!

I vote that you read Sunrise on the Reaping!
I just might do that, we’ll see!
That’s so annoying about Raising Hare. I hope you don’t have to wait too long for it to come back to you. The Scoundrel and the Siren sounds really fun so I will keep an eye for it. I love Norfolk and it’s always nice reading books set in places that I know.
It looks like I will have to wait a while to finish RAISING HARE. I think I’m number 70 in line, or something like that. 🙁
😳😳 Sometime in the Summer then 😀
😩
I hope you had a nice little break 🙂 The Scoundrel and the Siren sounds really fun and I’ve just added it and the first book to my TBR. I hope you enjoy all your reads and have a great week ahead!
THE SCOUNDREL AND THE SIREN was fun and a quick, mostly light-hearted read for when you’re in the mood for that. 🙂
I hope you had a blast during your vacation ! Welcome back ! 😀
Thank you!
Ok the cover alone makes me want to read Long Live Evil, I also have Raising Hare on my shelf so that might influence my next week’s reading 🙂
Glad you had the chance of a quick vacation 😁
I hope you enjoy RAISING HARE! Nature books are always nice to read. As for LONG LIVE EVIL, I still haven’t picked it back up since returning from vacation. Hoping to rectify that this weekend!
I need to read, “Long Live Evil,” A.S.A.P. As for, “Sunrise on the Reaping,” it’s gut-punching and excellent.
I had great fun with Long Live Evil and am looking forward to the sequel later this year. I’ve also been considering whether to pick up Migrations, as I loved Wild Dark Shore…
