Today’s book review is about BEYOND THE WAND by Tom Felton. This is a memoir full of acting nostalgia as well as a glimpse into Tom’s life before and after filming the Harry Potter movies. I read this via audiobook, which I definitely recommend if it’s an option!

First Lines Fridays: June 23, 2023

First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?  The rules are as follows:

  • Pick a book off your shelf (it could be your current read or on your TBR) and open to the first page
  • Copy the first few lines, but don’t give anything else about the book away just yet – you need to hook the reader first
  • Finally… reveal the book!

If you’re using Twitter, don’t forget to use #FirstLinesFridays!

ARC Review: Orchid Child by Victoria Costello

Though a bit later than I usually post, today’s review is about ORCHID CHILD by Victoria Costello. Set mainly in Ireland, this story examines the effects of generational trauma and epigenetic expression. In a sense, confronting the truth and the past will set these characters free.

Book Blogger Hop: June 9-15

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.
