For my November 2025 TBR I want to focus on books that are cozy or cozy adjacent. I had a great reading month in October going off script from my normal fantasy reads. So I thought I’d more or less continue in that vein. These are mostly fantasy, but lighter fantasy, which is something I don’t read too often. I also have a goal this month to lighten my mental load and a cozy TBR is part of that. That includes not worrying about ARCs unless the mood strikes me.
So, without further ado, here’s my November 2025 TBR!
November 2025 TBR

THE RAINFALL MARKET by You Yeong-Gwang: I picked this up in the Seoul airport on my way home. I think it was one of the very few fantasy or fantasy adjacent titles in English there. I have the UK cover, but it looks like the US one (shown above) is basically the same, but with some color differences. “If you could swap your life for a better one, which would you choose?“
THE ENTANGLEMENT OF RIVAL WIZARDS by Sara Raasch: I preordered this from B&N and, while I haven’t seen it come up often, the reviews I saw were overwhelmingly positive. I’m looking forward to a good time with this one. “Ali Hazelwood meets Dungeons & Dragons in this enemies-to-lovers fantasy academia romcom where rival grad student wizards are forced to work together without killing—or falling for—each other.“
THRONE IN THE DARK by A.K. Caggiano: This is another B&N preorder. I haven’t actually seen anyone mention this yet. But the premise seemed light and entertaining. It has forced proximity, which is one of my favorite tropes. “For fans of Kimberly Lemming and The Princess Bride comes the first book in AK Caggiano’s Villains & Virtues series, following the son of a demon on his way to fulfill his dark legacy, and the blonde pickpocket he accidentally magically links to him along the way.“
A DARK AND SECRET MAGIC by Wallis Kinney: When I saw this last year I immediately loved the cover vibes. But this is another book I haven’t seen pop up very often. “A warm, spellbinding tale about a witch and the secrets her coven has been keeping from her, with echoes of the classic Hades and Persephone story, in the tradition of Practical Magic and Witch of Wild Things.“
EMILY WILDE’S ENCYCLOPEDIA OF FAERIES by Heather Fawcett: I’m basically the last person on Earth to read this, I know. I have the whole trilogy, though, and need to get cracking on it. Even my mom has read the first book. So that’s part of the reason I want to read it now, to be able to discuss a book with her that we’ve both read. “A curmudgeonly professor journeys to a small town in the far north in this “incredibly fun journey through fae lands and dark magic” (NPR), the start of a heartwarming and enchanting new fantasy series.“
WATER MOON by Samantha Sotto Yambao: I’ve seen mixed reviews about this one, but whatever, I’m going to try it anyway. It came in my Illumicrate sub earlier this year and I need to be better about reading those books. “A woman inherits a pawnshop where you can sell your regrets, and then embarks on a magical quest when a charming young physicist wanders into the shop, in this dreamlike fantasy novel.“
What’s on your November 2025 TBR? Have you read any of these books?

I am excited to see what you think of Water Moon. I have the Book of the Month copy from months ago but haven’t gotten around to it yet.
Hopefully I’m able to get to Water Moon this month! I’m a little nervous about it because I’ve seen mixed reviews, but hopefully I like it!
I love Throne in Dark cover!! 😍 I have read The Rainfall Market in October and really enjoyed it even if I wasn’t expecting it to have middle grade vibes. I am curious to know what you will think of it!
Good luck with your TBR!!
The Throne in the Dark cover is a good one, I agree! Yea, I saw on GR that The Rainfall Market has some middle grade vibes, but that’s ok. I don’t mind reading middle grade every now and then, but it’s not something I’ll read all the time.
I really like the sound of Throne in the Dark. The Emily Wilde trilogy is so much fun, I’m curious to see what you think. Enjoy your low stress month!
Throne in the Dark sounds like a fun one! 🙂
I think I actually just added A Throne in the Dark to my TBR the other day after seeing it on someone’s list somewhere (I really can’t remember where)! It sounds really good. I still have to read Water Moon and I’m a bit nervous about it cos like you I’ve seen so many mixed thoughts and I don’t always get on with the translated cosy fics. I’m still keen to give it a go though. I hope you enjoy all these reads (especially Emily Wilde)! ✨
Maybe you saw Throne in the Dark in my November Book Releases post? (Or someone else’s blog, which is entirely possible haha.) It does look like a fun one. I think I might start with the Emily Wilde book. 🙂
I also have been meaning to read Encyclopaedia of Faeries for ages… Maybe this is the month!
I’m hoping to start it today!! 🙂
I hope you love Emily Wilde. It’s one of my faves. 🙂 I’m also looking forward to your thoughts on Water Moon. I didn’t end up loving it, but it wasn’t terrible either. 🤷♂️
Thank you! I’m 1/3 of the way through Emily Wilde & enjoying it, though Wendell is getting on my nerves, lol.
I have had The Rainfall Market on my TBR! I hope you enjoy it and I can move it up the TBR. I had mixed feelings about Water Moon. I hope you enjoy it more than I did! <3
I feel like now that I have The Rainfall Market I’ve been seeing it everywhere, or people have told me they’ve had it for a while. I guess I just completely missed it when the translated version came out nearly a year ago now, haha.
Yeah, I remember seeing it around a year ago… then nothing. I hope you enjoy it and I’ll move it up my TBR!
Good luck with your November TBR! I’m also planning on reading A Dark and Secret Magic this month, as I love the autumnal vibes the cover gives off 😊
Thank you! Yes, A Dark and Secret Magic has such perfect autumnal vibes just going by the cover art. I found out about it last year and finally decided to buy a used copy off of Pangobooks. 🙂 I hope you enjoy the book, too!
Hey, you’re not quite the last person not to read Emily Wilde! 😅 I need to pick it up one of these days.
