In January 2025 I made a list of my favorite books published in 2024. So I thought I’d continue this new tradition on my blog with a list of my favorite books published in 2025. None of these received five stars from me (I’m rather stingy with my 5-star ratings), but I still enjoyed them quite a bit. Each of the titles links to my review, if I reviewed it. If I didn’t review it, then the book title links to Bookshop.org for a full synopsis.

January 2026 TBR
Happy New Year, everyone! To start off my January 2026 TBR, I plan to first focus on the two ARCs I have with January publication dates. I took a three-month hiatus at the end of 2025 to focus on books I purchased and it was lovely to do so. So the ARCs are my priority reads with the rest included below as hopefuls. I’ve been thinking it’d be fun to choose one nonfiction, one book subscription, and one random book from my shelves to read each month in addition to any potential ARCs. It’s not easy to avoid the shiny distraction of new releases, but I need to try better to get through my own physical backlog!
Anyway, with that said, here’s my January 2026 TBR.

There are a lot of interesting (to me) January 2026 book releases that I’m excited for. There are so many that it would have been nice to see them spaced out with the December 2025 book releases! Anyway, there’s no way I’ll get to all of these, especially not anytime soon. But it is fun to see what books are in the pipeline. And the January 2026 book releases look excellent! As usual, most of the list below consists of fantasy books, but there is a sprinkling of books from other genres that intrigued me. So take a look!

Good morning, everyone! This December 2025 On My Radar is obviously the last On My Radar post for the year. I intend to continue this going into 2026, so this isn’t the last community roundup post I’ll have. December was busy, so I admit I didn’t blog hop as much as usual. But I still managed to read and comment around the blogosphere. So here are a few of those posts. Enjoy your blog hopping!

December 2025 TBR
My December 2025 TBR is purely all hopeful reads. The holiday season is busy and I don’t want to pressure myself to a bunch of ARC commitments (even though I’m behind). Most of the books on my December 2025 TBR are books I’ve owned for a while. So if I get to them it’ll be nice to cross off even more from my unread physical book pile. Anyway, these are all fantasy books except for one historical fiction.
