I didn’t do nearly as well with my April 2026 TBR as I did on my March TBR. I finished three priority reads. For my May 2026 TBR I really want to make more of a dent in my ARCs. I’m behind on nearly all of them. As I mentioned in my last WWW Wednesday, I’m really more in the mood to read from the pile of books I purchased myself. So I want to finish my ARCs so I can feel more free to read from my physical book backlog. With that said, here’s my May 2026 TBR.

I meant to post this April 2026 On My Radar a few days ago, but this month ran away from me! Anyway, here are a few of the blog posts I read this month. Please go give these folks a read! You might discover a book or two to add to your TBR!
I haven’t done a book haul post in years because it takes me a while to create that type of post. I save that time for creating anticipated book releases posts (like this April 2026 book releases one), or I’ll post a snapshot on my bookstagram. However, I’d been waiting a while to make a Blackwell’s post. I saved up titles I’d been eying for a while (or found while browsing their website a few days ago) and made one big purchase for my birthday (last weekend).
I thought it’d be fun to show you all what I purchased, especially because I don’t see these titles promoted at all here in the U.S. In fact, I think there are a few that aren’t even available in the U.S. Books are also slightly cheaper in the U.K., too, even with the conversion rate. Anyway, here’s a list of the fiction and nonfiction titles I snagged in my Blackwell’s birthday purchase!

For my list of anticipated April 2026 book releases, I have a list of 10 books to share (a couple less than in my March list). As usual, the focus is on speculative fiction. However, this April 2026 book releases list is a bit more diverse in terms of subgenres. I have some fantasy picks in here as well as some horror (unusual for me!) and some nonfiction. When I looked back at my March 2026 TBR I was shocked to see I’d read all of my priority reads! That made me very happy! I didn’t finish any of my hopeful reads, but I started one of them, THE DEMONIC INVENTIONS OF AURELIE BLAKE by Mara Rutherford. For my April 2026 TBR I plan to carry over some of those hopeful reads. But I also plan to focus on finishing the Throne of Glass series, which is a priority for me before the next ACOTAR book gets published. It’s also my birthday month, so I may treat myself to a Blackwell’s purchase. I have a list of books I’d like so I can put it one purchase and call it a day.
