While I did a great job with my priority reads in January, I did abysmally with my physical TBR. That was partly due to traveling, so I prioritized whatever was on my Kindle. And it was partly because of all the terrible news, so I couldn’t concentrate on my picks. Instead I settled for a dystopian read (SUNRISE ON THE REAPING). Hopefully I’ll be able to stick more to my February 2026 TBR. Though, as always, I am a mood reader so I reserve the right to change my reading around. 🙂

I didn’t expect January to fly by so quickly, but, alas, it did. My reading game started out strong, even if not all of them were amazing, and then fizzled toward the end as a result of watching terrible things happen to good people. Everything is so heavy right now and it’s become even harder to find some calm in reading. I’m not great at finding the right words to say for hard topics, but I do hope everyone is safe and that they know they matter. <3 While I’m having a hard time concentrating on reading, getting caught up with blogging has been a little easier.
