April 2025 TBR

It’s my birthday month, so my goal is to mood read as much as possible. So even though my April 2025 TBR follows the same format as usual, I could jump around a lot. I have to travel for work in early April, so during that time, especially, I might jump around to books not necessarily listed here. Anyway, enough of my babbling. Keep scrolling to see what’s on my April 2025 TBR.

Priority Reads

Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. MaasOnyx Storm by Rebecca YarrosA Fate Inked in Blood by Danielle L. Jensen

CROWN OF MIDNIGHT by Sarah J. Maas: I actually started this one already. It’s the second book in the Throne of Glass series. So far, so good! I find this series pretty easy to get into and look forward to the plot thickening.

ONYX STORM by Rebecca Yarros: I definitely need to read this so I can be “in the know.” And then I can freely discuss it with some folks at work. (Suddenly there are a lot of fantasy readers at work, mostly Gen Z, so it’s been tough at times to avoid excited spoiler-y and loud conversations!)

A FATE INKED IN BLOOD by Danielle Jensen: I’ve wanted to read this for a while and time grows short for me to read this before the sequel comes out. Honestly, I want to read this to decide whether I like it enough to order the Fairyloot SE next month. I already pre-ordered it from B&N, though, so I guess it doesn’t really matter. “A shield maiden blessed by the gods battles to unite a nation under a power-hungry king—while fighting her growing desire for his fiery son—in the first book of a Norse-inspired fantasy romance duology from the author of The Bridge Kingdom series.

Hopeful Reads

A Monsoon Rising by Thea Guanzon

A MONSOON RISING by Thea Guanzon: This is another book I’ve wanted to read for a while, but ARCs and the SFINCS were priorities. I really enjoyed the first book, so I’m looking forward to continuing the adventure.

Anything else I pick up will be purely based on mood. I’ve only thought about these four books, so anything goes the rest of the month. I could read an ARC, I could not. Who knows?

And that’s what I have for my April 2025 TBR! Are any of these on yours this month?

  1. Happy Birthday for later this month. I hope you have a wonderful April 🥰

Great options to get to this month. I’m glad you’re enjoying Crown Of Midnight so far and hope you continue to do so. I need to start Fourth Wing still 🙈 but it’s a must for this year. Good luck avoiding spoilers until you’re up to date. At least you know you’ll have lots of people to discuss it with soon. I also really want to get to A Fate Inked In Blood before the sequel releases. It sounds so good and the covers divine 😍

I hope you enjoy Monsoon Rising if you manage to get to it too. Continuing series is always so much fun. (Although it’s another I still need to start 🙈)

  2. Happy birthday month! I’m totally with you on the mood reading. After the whirlwind of Trope-ical Readathon last month, I’m ready for a more lackadaisical pace. Do you still want to buddy read A Fate Inked in Blood? I’d already pulled it off the shelf last month before we decided to do Sword Catcher instead. Now it is just sitting there staring at me as I type this… lol.

  3. Happy birthday month! Aiming to mood read sounds great. I love making TBRs each month but sometimes you need to just pick whatever strikes your fancy each day. A Fate Inked In Blood sounds good! I hope you enjoy these.
