2023 Book Blog In Review

It’s time for the wrap-up post of all wrap-up posts: my 2023 book blog in review! Like last year, this post covers whether I accomplished my goals as well as blog and reading statistics. I tried to keep it to the point and not so word-y since it covers a lot of topics. So, hopefully this is relatively easy to read through.

In summary, though, 2023 was a great year in terms of viewership. I really hit new heights here. My reading statistics in terms of ratings could’ve been better, but it is what it is. I’m picky about my five star ratings, but I still enjoyed quite a lot of books. Anyway, here’s my 2023 book blog in review!

Anticipated First Quarter Book Releases in 2024

Well, here we are! With 2023 gone it’s now time to look forward to anticipated first quarter book releases in 2024. January through February looks like a banger quarter for book releases in 2024. I think this is the most excited I’ve been about book releases ever. Will I read them all? Probably not. But I can dream about it! What I also love is that so many of the books that look interesting to me are also standalones. That makes me super happy because, frankly, I don’t want to commit to too many more series. (But that’s hard to avoid with the fantasy genre.)

I know a lot of bloggers already seem a bit stressed at the amazing possibilities. At the time of writing this post I have so far held off from requesting too much. However, my January looks stacked and I’m still digging out from 2023!

No matter, though. Let’s take a look at some anticipated first quarter book releases in 2024 that I’m looking forward to. I listed the books in the order they will be released in the U.S. If more than one book has the same release date, then I second ordered them by the author’s last name. Also, if you want more “anticipated book release” lists, check out mine from the first, second, third, and fourth quarters of 2023.

2024 Bookish Goals

I made bookish goals for the first time in 2023. With one more year under my belt, it seems only prudent to make some 2024 bookish goals. They’re similar to the ones I made last year, with a few exceptions. New notable topics to my 2024 bookish goals are to complete ongoing series reads and track my bookish spending. Kal at Reader Voracious has a lovely spreadsheet system that is great if you like numbers.

I nixed SEO improvement from my 2024 goals because I feel like I more or less figured it out. I considered adding a goal about writing timely reviews. But I don’t usually have an issue with that and tend to write them within a week of finishing a book.

Anyway, keep reading to learn more about my 2024 bookish goals.
