Well, October went by so fast. I think it felt that way because I had work travel in the middle of the month, which threw off my internal calendar. Despite the travel interruption, I still managed to finish seven books, mostly thank to audiobooks. I made a decent chunk of progress with my first reading of Kingdom of Ash (no spoilers, please). By the time this goes live I’ll hopefully only have 250 or so pages left to read.

I also watched a lot of things this month, which isn’t like me. But I guess I just felt inspired, what can I say. And most of it was movies, which I don’t tend to do because they’re long and eat up my free time. Sometimes you just have to mix it up, I guess! Anyway, below is my October 2026 book blog wrap-up. September started off well and jolly, but the end of the month was a real doozy for me for personal reasons. But it was a good reading month because all the books I read were books I physically own. So I’m proud about that because it allows me to decide what I want to keep or offload. Although, to be honest, I bought just as many used books, so I’m neutral in terms of read vs. unread progress! I feel like it should still be August? What happened to the time?! I’m not ready to say goodbye to summer. I know Summerween is trending everywhere, but I am not a fellow Summerweener. I almost forgot that the end of the month means it’s time for my August 2026 book blog wrap-up. August was a more “successful” reading month for me in that I finished 9 books. And a lot of those books were ones I’d had on my TBR for a while. Viewership still sucked (more on that below), though. Welcome to my July 2026 book blog wrap-up! This is, again, a longer post because I talk about my trip to Taiwan and Japan after all the bookish stuff. So just navigate around to whatever interests you. I got a decent amount of reading done and made some progress on some backlogged ARCs, which made me happy. Travel forces me to read exclusively from my kindle, which is where all my ARCs are, so that’s a win. The other TLDR is that my views were way down for July, more than I think is normal. This was a weird reading month (again). I feel like I did “worse” than last month. I had a lofty goal of reading a bunch of my physical books for Pride Month, but then fell off the wagon, so to speak. Between travelling, work distractions, gardening, and not really jiving with most of my reads, I kind of felt like I was in a little slump.
