I saw this Last 10 Book Tag on Janette’s and Ashlee’s blogs a couple weeks ago. The Last 10 books tag was created by Marc Nash on BookTube. I thought it looked simple enough and fun to do, so I decided to join in. For your convenience, I listed the questions only at the end of this post in case anyone wants to partake.
Last 10 Book Tag Answers
The Last Book I didn’t finish
The last book I DNF was WHAT MY BONES KNOW by Stephanie Foo. While I do want to finish it one day, I tried to read it when I wasn’t in the best headspace.
The Last Book I reread
I finally finished my first ARC in a while: THIS WILL BE FUN by E.B. Asher. My review goes up next week!
The Last Book I bought
The last book I purchased was an ebook called THE SWANS OF HARLEM by Karen Valby. I always have my eyes open for ballet-centric books. I’m not sure when I’ll read this, but it looks interesting!
The Last Book that I said I read but didn’t
There are so many I could put here in no particular order. I’m not even sure what the last one was. It’s probably something related to Trope-ical Reads. So let’s go with THE BLUEST EYE by Toni Morrison. I actually borrowed the audiobook via Libby. But I’m sorry to say that I didn’t really like listening to the author as the narrator. Plus after hearing the writing style, I think I may switch to the book version.
The Last Book I wrote in the margins of
I really have no idea. I stopped writing in my books years ago. It’s probably one of the later Harry Potter books, but who knows?
The Last Book I had signed
Aside from the special edition book subscriptions I have, the last book I had signed was AN EDUCATION IN MALICE by S.T. Gibson. Saint had an author event in my area, so I snagged a spot for that and here I am.
The Last Book I lost
This is another one for which I don’t have an answer!
The Last Book I had to replace
FAHRENHEIT 451…I think I bought a used copy at a library sale because I wasn’t sure if my parents still had the one I read in high school. It has some 70s or 80s style vintage art on the cover that looks pretty ominous. Here’s an example on eBay.
The Last Book I had an argument over
These last few questions are tough for me! I can’t remember the last time I had an argument over a book.
The Last Book I couldn’t get hold of
Between the bookseller scene in the U.S. and Blackwell’s free shipping from the U.K., I’m pretty set. While I technically own it now, the last book I couldn’t get a hold of for a while was THE WILL OF THE MANY. It was sold out for a while for reasons unknown to me.

Ah, I am very on the fence about whether I should read An Education in Malice or not! It looks cool, but then I keep thinking it might not be my thing.
I flew through AN EDUCATION IN MALICE. It’s interesting, and maybe I would’ve gotten more out of it if I’d read CARMILLA first, but I like Saint’s other books more.
I don’t think I’ve ever written in the margins of a book 🤔 ooh have you read Will Of The Many yet? I’ve heard such good things about it and should really check it out. I hope you enjoy the ballet book too, I hadn’t heard of it before now.
Nope, still haven’t read WILL OF THE MANY! I saw on B&N’s website that it now has a new book cover and it looks great! Wonderful art on the cover.
I hope you get to check it out soon then. Ooh exciting. It kind of reminds me of another book I’ve seen recently.
