The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jenniferās permission, Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hopās purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

This Weekās Question
What are your thoughts on “happily ever after” endings?Ā (Billy @Ā Coffee Addicted Writer)
I think in my heart of hearts I do prefer a “happily ever after” ending. In my books I appreciate plot twists and heartbreak, but at the end of the day I like ending the story on a good note. There’s already so much suffering in the real world, not to mention in nonfiction, that I appreciate a happy ending in a fiction book. For the most part, I think the human species is inherently hopeful. It’s what keeps us going, whether that hope originates from religion, interactions, or stories read or heard.
Most books I read don’t have happily ever after endings, so I always love reading one now and thenš
Oh that surprises me! I know you read a bunch of SFF & horror, but maybe thereās more not so happy ending books out there than I realized!
I like happy endings, too. I don’t care if people think it’s unrealistic or whatever. Some people are actually happy in life!
Yea, I donāt want to read unhappy endings for the majority of my books!
