The Fake Mate by Lana Ferguson

Today’s review is about THE FAKE MATE by Lana Ferguson. As the title suggests, this is a fake dating situation, which is a well-loved trope. This paranormal wolf-shifter romance pairs two colleagues in an unlikely situationship. Of course, one thing leads to another and they find there might be more between them.

Book Review: Portrait of A Scotsman by Evie Dunmore

Today’s review is about PORTRAIT OF A SCOTSMAN by Evie Dunmore. It’s a historical romance set in 19th century England and Scotland. It was a time when women’s suffrage started taking the spotlight. Women had few rights and what rights they had essentially became null once married. This book explores autonomy, suffrage, and economic topics which remain relevant today.

Book Review: How the Penguins Saved Veronica by Hazel Prior

Good morning! Today’s review is about HOW THE PENGUINS SAVED VERONICA by Hazel Prior. I don’t typically read general fiction or women’s fiction, but I wanted to see what the hype about this book was. It’s a sweet tale about found family after personal hardship and learning to let others in.

Sundays in Bed With…How the Penguins Saved Veronica

The Sundays in Bed With… meme, hosted by Midnight Book Girl, dares to ask what book has been in your bed this morning. Come share what book you’ve spent time curled up reading in bed, or which book you wish you had time to read today!

How the Penguins Saved Veronica

This is part of my August TBR and is one I need to read and give back to a family member by this weekend. I’m about half way through and enjoying it. It’s not something I’d typically pick up for myself. But at the same time it’s also nice to read in a different genre every now and then. I remember seeing this book floating around on book Twitter when I first joined and it’s been on my TBR a while. I love how curmudgeonly the main character is, yet at the same time she’s very self aware about it.
