ROLL FOR LOVE by M.K. England: I’m more than a third of the way through at the time of drafting this post. So far I like it. It’s not blowing me away yet and it has that YA air of self-discovery (not a big surprise there), but it’s a D&D-related romance, so I’m here for it. “A second-chance queer romance about two teens whose in-world D&D characters fall in love, but in IRL . . . things are more complicated, perfect for lovers of Ashley Poston and Becky Albertalli.“
CARELESS PEOPLE by Sarah Wynn-Williams: I am so ready to learn about the hot gossip of Facebook. The author has definitely captured my attention. Between her near-death experience from a childhood shark attack to her determination to work as a political relations ambassador of sorts for Facebook, she knows how to tell a story. “An explosive memoir charting one woman’s career at the heart of one of the most influential companies on the planet, Careless People gives you a front-row seat to Facebook, the decisions that have shaped world events in recent decades, and the people who made them.“
Just Finished

MAILMAN by Stephen Grant: I finished this over the weekend. In case you missed it, you can read my review here.
BEASTS AND BEAUTY by Soman Chainani: I finished this audiobook over the weekend, too. It’s a middle grade retelling of a bunch of fairytales. I think I liked it a little more than FIERCE FAIRYTALES by Nikita Gill. But, I don’t know…these short retellings overall don’t do much for me.
Reading Next

I’m pretty behind on some ARCs, so I should pick one of those up next. I’ll probably go with ASCENSION by S.T. Gibson.

That’s a varied set of books this week. Hope you enjoy Ascension. I’m now off to find your review of The Mailman as I’ve obviously missed it ☹️
Oops, well, it doesn’t help that I forgot to link it in my post here! Just fixed that…
I am excited to read roll for romance. I love books where the characters play D&D
Me too! I love this trend of romances that incorporate D&D (even though I don’t play it).
I hope you enjoy Ascension! Good luck on catching up with ARCs!
