Book Blogger Hop: October 7-13

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

This Week’s Question

Are you lost if you don’t have a book to read? (Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews)

It took me a moment to realize this is a more literal question (I think) than I initially interpreted it. If I don’t bring a book with me everywhere I go, no, I don’t feel lost. Most of the time when I go somewhere chances are I won’t have much or any down time to read. My outings are usually errands or socializing with friends, neither of which leaves room to read while engaged in those activities.

To be less literal, I don’t see this ever being a problem. My “Want to Read” list is large. Very large. I have close to 1,000 books on my Goodreads TBR because I include anything that looks interesting. If I can’t find something to read in that list, then I have a problem. As a matter of fact, I really should cull some books from this list. I actually want to do a weekly or monthly post about removing books from my “Want to Read” list.
