Book Blogger Hop: June 10-16

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

This Week’s Question

Have you ever forgotten to post a review? (Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer)

Well, this is going to be a short answer from me this week: no. There have certainly been a couple of times where I didn’t realize just how close a review deadline was looming. Usually this happens when I sign up for too many blog tours that occur around the same time. I’ve accidentally scheduled a review for the wrong date. But I don’t think that really counts, especially so since it wasn’t a review for a blog tour. I’ve also submitted reviews to NetGalley past the publication date. But I don’t consider that as forgetting to post a review because I was fully aware of how swamped with e-ARCs I was (and still am).

What about you?

  1. There are times when I realize that I haven’t written a review, and then scramble to schedule one. But since I schedule everything I technically don’t miss my planned publication dates (if I have the post written) because WordPress does all the work for me.

    1. I schedule things too so that I don’t accidentally forget to post a review! 😛 The scheduling tool is one of my favorite things on WP.

  2. Ah, there are definitely books I meant to review and just . . . never got around to, though I don’t think any of them were actually ARCs I’d specifically agreed to review. I hope. :p

    1. Haha well then no harm done! I review most books I read so that I can have a backlog in case I’m too busy to write a fresh one for a given week. However, I’ve realized lately that I’m terrible at retaining audiobooks, so though I’ll have finished my second one very soon, I can’t, in good faith, review it.
